Laser Therapy for Prevention of Nausea and Gagging
In the last year, I have been receiving an increasing number of comments from different health practitioners on the effectiveness of Laser Therapy for the prevention and control of nausea and gagging. Many patients who visit the dental office experience nausea and gagging, especially during x-rays or impressions. In some cases, the patient will require sedation to have basic dental work done. Application of Laser Therapy to the parasympathetic calming points on the wrist, specifically to the P6 acupuncture point, has been shown to significantly reduce the feeling of nausea.
This application may also be useful during the holiday season after too many Christmas cocktails.
Happy Holidays!!
